Dr. Johnson engages in the following types of data collection in her animal welfare expertise. (1) Online interviews to collect swine welfare qualitative data from producers, allied industry, law makers and consumers [stakeholders] (2) Animal Science- and Veterinary Students (future leaders) with no commercial swine farm exposure to visit farms, collect individual perceptions of swine welfare practices and afterwards through structured focal groups collate perceptions (3) Stakeholder one-on-one approach to view farm images/videos and ask "“how do you think the pig feels?” using QBA.
